This is where you come to make at your own pace, however feels true today.

Start here if you have 5 minutes to play

This isn’t about making something good. It’s about loosening your grip on getting it right.

Choose the path that speaks to you then come back and try another.

Five minutes is all it takes to begin.

When I paint, there’s no distance between me and the page. My body is directly involved. It feels instinctive, almost primal.

The prompts above are grounded in the RIPPLE Practice™ — six movements I return to in my own creative work. They aren’t steps. They’re patterns you’ll start to recognize in yourself.

The quiet magic of working with our hands moves faster than language. It bypasses the part of us that wants to perform or get it right. When the materials are simple and nothing is precious, the pressure dissolves.

What’s left is curiosity and play.

You don’t need a plan to begin

I was the only artist that didn’t have a plan in the Live Art Painting Battle. Just like you don’t need one here.

For three hours that Saturday evening, what looked like courage to others was simply how I’ve always worked.

Standing in front of a blank canvas—that wasn’t new territory. That was home. And when they said “Your time starts now!” I knew all I had to do was play.

Like me, you don’t need a plan. You simply need to begin.

If you want to do this with others

A monthly live Zoom gathering

One hour of honest conversation and quiet making — together.

This isn’t a class. There’s no instruction, no demonstration, no critique. Sometimes we make. Sometimes we talk. Sometimes we sit with a theme and see what surfaces.

What to expect:

  • Live on Zoom, once a month (dates announced via newsletter)

  • One hour — arrive as you are, leave when it’s done

  • No recordings — this is a live, present experience

  • $10, sliding scale — come because you want to

  • You don’t need materials, experience, or a plan

If you want to stay close to the practice

Reflections, process notes, and the messy middle — for the Insiders who want to stay close to the practice.

Not a course. Not a community with assignments.

A space for you to witness, respond to, and relate with creativity as it happens.

$10/month or $108/year.
